Spinneroos registration is now open for Term 2 2024!

Spinneroos is an 8 week program aimed at primary school aged children to help teach them the basic skills necessary to play table tennis. Participants will learn how to serve, forehand, backhand, combination, and become match ready.

 Successful TOPS coaching course held at MFTTA!

A HUGE thank you to John Ind for running a TOPS course at MFTTA stadium on Saturday 17th of February 2024. The trainees loved the course and learnt a huge amount from John.

There were 5 people from MFTTA who will soon join our fantastic coaching team after they receive their accreditation.

Also, a big thank you to TTV and TTA for their support in making this event possible, and to Les, Cameron and Emily from MFTTA for their help in setting up and organising the course.

MFTTA had a big celebration for the end of the year All Abilities competition.

A HUGE congratulations to Sarah W on her big win!

Every player was excited to receive a medallion for their participation and hard work throughout the term. The top three players received a gold, silver and bronze medal.

All medallions/medals were kindly donated by Zone 3 Table Tennis.
 

 Bruce Carter kindly visited MFTTA stadium for several hours on Monday 27 of November to run a "coach the coaches" session, which was attended by Sophie Kirkman, Greg Price, Craig Beilken and David Griersmith with involvement by many others including coach Juan Qu.

Bruce is a generous and massively experienced coach and helped the MFTTA coaches learn technique, skills, service, and drills as well as associated strategies for coaching. It was a fun session and a great learning experience.

Bruce coaches at high levels, includes national and international. He has a connection to MFTTA over decades, including his coaching of a 2007 Super League team from our association and the associated award shown in the photo of Bruce and Les.

The MFTTA Board of Directors sincerely thanks Bruce for his time, effort and generosity. He has graciously offered to visit again next year to help our coaching team.

MFTTA held its annual Club Championships on the weekend with a record number of entries. We would like to congratulate all of the Winners and Runners Up for competing in the final of your respective events!
Les has once again outdone himself with all of his tireless behind the scenes work involved in preparing for and running an event like this. A HUGE thank you to Les! We'd like to also highlight and thank Anna Wright and David Griersmith for helping on the day and taking photos.
