JUNIORS and SCHOOLS

Juniors: MFTTA sees Juniors as the lifeblood and future of the sport. As such the club devotes extensive resources to create opportunities for juniors to play table tennis. The starting point is usually Spinneroos (see below) or Friday juniors which begins at 430pm and at 6pm during school terms (when COVID-19 restrictions are not in place - see Home page). This program has fun activities, games, competitions and coaching. This is so popular that often the entire family ends up joining the club to play socially and/or in Pennant competition or handicap competition.  There are development pathways for all Juniors who can progress through coaching and training and learn new skills and develop their potential.  Many have gone on to win trophies (available at all standards), and to represent the club, Victoria and Australia. Most of all the focus is on fun and enjoyment.

Schools: MFTTA also works closely with schools to provide an introduction to table tennis for primary and secondary school aged children. We are part of the Table Tennis Australia highly successful Spinneroos program which runs each school term (see below). Schools are warmly invited to contact us if you would like to play at our stadium or have us visit and provide coaching programs.

Booking times for Juniors:

• Friday Juniors Early session 4:30 - 5:30pm and Late session 6pm - 7:30pm during school terms.
• Spinneroos for 5-12yr olds 4:30 - 5:30pm Thursdays and Fridays - see Spinneroos page for more details and registration links.
